  1. Yep, that is Evangelinut Tea Party Republican logic….

You don’t understand – Teddie’s daddy is a preacher man – so, therefore,

    1) Teddie can do whatever the hell he wants
    2) Teddie can say whatever the hell he wants
    3) Teddie is to be unquestioned and don’t you dare ask him to show his long form birth certificate – that would be unpatriotic…

These Evangelinut Tea Party Republicans truly believe that they are God’s favorites…

Why else do these folks also spew the notion that America is so ‘exceptional’ ???

Hey – being exceptional can worth two ways – one can also be exceptionally S-T-U-P-I-D…

Proud to be Stupid is what I call these folks…

  2. More of ‘republicans persuading voters to vote for the democrats’:

(from the link): “I mean, count the number of times he uses the word I in any speech, and compare that to any other president…. You know, this is a guy, you look at every one of his speeches, even the way he introduces high officials – ‘I’d like to introduce my secretary of State.’ He once referred to ‘my intelligence community.’ And in one speech, I no longer remember it, ‘my military.’ For God’s sake, he talks like the emperor Napoleon.” — Charles Krauthammer

    ——–

Medicare fraud in Florida? Aw, no way.

Wait a minute….Rick Scott was the head honcho at HCA and under Scott’s leadership, HCA was fined millions for ….you guessed it…Medicare fraud.

But Rickie was never caught. Rickie was paid a lot of money to leave HCA and Rickie walked away with multi millions of dollars…

And then Rickie even convinced enough Tea Party fools to vote him in as their Governor.

Damn – do I have to say it again?

    1) There is being stupid.

    2) Then there is being ‘proud to be stupid’.

Tea Party folks are in the second category – IMHO

  4. Well – the granddaughter was discharged from hospital late Saturday afternoon – right before her supper meal, which she has to take her blood sugar and then take her insulin shot…

SO….why are we discharging an 8-yr-old right before supper time? That decision delayed us having the chance to do the necessary things that is now the way my granddaughter has to live in order to survive…

    Just asking…

As an added measure of concern for everyone in our family – my son was in my granddaughter’s room and on Friday morning, his blood sugar dropped to 22 and he was rushed to the ER. He ended up in the ICU, eventually moved to a regular room and he was discharged yesterday – again at supper time. But, at least he was given his supper before he left the building.

    It’s been a week from HELL…….

My son has been poked, prodded, examined in every way – and it has been determined that his kidneys are functioning at 50% – but they don’t know why.

My DIL and I were at their house in Augusta when the kidney specialist’s office scheduler called and wanted to set up a follow-up appointment for him. My DIL responded with – my husband is in the hospital.

This is how my DIL found out that her husband was being discharged any minute.

    WTH…..

Suffice to say – my son has appointments with two specialists – a lot of bills coming and then he was told that he can return to his delivery driving job today. This is the same job that his supervisor had worked him from 3am to whenever they were done for the day (7pm, 8pm or as late as 10pm). My son did this schedule for 2 years – until he had his heart episode during the summer time.

At that time – he went to the HR Dept at his work and he was promised that he would not be worked those long hours anymore.

Last week – on Monday – his supervisor asked him if he would start the 3am to whatever time shift again….. AFTER being told that my son was not to be worked like that…

Then his daughter is rushed to the ER and is diagnosed with Type I diabetes…. and then these doctors and nurses wonder why my son is having problems with his blood sugar numbers????

    WTH…

    I am so A-N-G-R-Y……
    1) at the way our health care system is set up and run.

    2) at the way nobody seems to give a damn anymore

    3) at the way these corporations can dictate to employees what they WILL do – or else they can choose to quit their job.

    4) at the way we seem to have a bunch of Americans who are shouting and screaming as to ‘don’t take away my Medicare’ but yet these same folks want to deny other Americans their right to health care.

    5) at the way we seem to have this fantasy that our country is some shining example of being a pro-family, pro-life and a loving nation.

    I call B.S. on that last one……

The ONLY thing our country cares about is how to get that last dime from somebody else – and if it takes stomping over a dead body to get that last dime – so be it.

And then these folks will somehow justify their actions by the same Bible that I’ve read – but I don’t see anywhere in the Bible where Jesus stomped over people to get to money….

Yes – I am very angry and I am very cynical…

And right now – I don’t have a lot of faith and trust in our health care system…

My son did receive a phone call in his hospital room – just 5 minutes before he was due to leave – it was the Business Office.

His portion of the bills – so far – was $600. How did he want to pay – was the question asked.

    WTH….

    • fnord – I think it is time for women in this country to band together and start to become as powerful a lobbyist group as the NRA

Do you think it would work?

My DIL, daughter and I have talked about this issue before. Too many mothers, grandmothers and aunts have sat back and watched as their loved ones have gone through stuff like I just laid out above.

And we all say the same damn thing – if our country can spend trillions on some damn useless, senseless and endless wars…..then we can damn well find the money to help all Americans…

    The rich get richer…..

Excuse me…but wasn’t Citigroup one of those Too Big To Fail banks that WE the TAXPAYERS bailed out…

  6. To illustrate how stupid health insurance corporations are – granddaughter needed to have a one-time use Glucagon pen (emergency use) at school and home.

    Okay – no problem..

Or did we speak too soon?

Pharmacy only filled one. When DIL called to find out why – pharmacy told her the insurance only allows for one pen to be filled at a time.

Okay – the DIL called the health insurance corporation and was told that since this is a one-time item – they can only fill for one pen per day. If she needed a second pen for school, then she could refill this script the next day.

    WTH…..

    Bottom line –

    1) DIL had to make another call to pharmacy to refill this pen (even though she never used (and may never use) the first pen

    2) DIL had to make yet another trip to the pharmacy to pick up this second pen.

    The kicker to the story?

Isn’t it nice we don’t have government telling us what we can and cannot do with our health care needs?

    What a load of B.S. …

    • I would LOVE to inject a few things into these Tea Party Nit-wits and Evangelinuts and just mean-spirited Republicans to show them what I think of the corporation health insurance nonsense that these folks seem to absolutely love – since the corporate is now a person and a very wealthy person….indeed.

  7. I want to tell everyone what happened to us when we walked into the Ronald McDonald room at the Wesley Hospital.

Our granddaughter had been in the Pediatric ICU for two days. The other waiting room was full and we saw these signs for the Ronald McDonald Room. All the signs said that every family with a child under the age of 21 that was hospitalized in the hospital could use this room.

My husband, grandson and I walked into this room. It was a not big room – but it had a couch, chairs, microwave, coffee maker, television, etc.

There was a woman sitting at a desk and when we passed by her, she yelled out – what child are you with? When we told her the name, she looked through her file box and then yelled out again – she is not listed here. Did YOU register her?

We replied that we did not know we needed to register her and again – this woman was yelling that – of course she needs to be registered. Only those children who are registered can have their families use this room.

I was so frustrated with this woman. If there are rules and policies in place – okay, fine with me. But you can tell me in a nice way and then offer to help us to get the child registered and her name in the little file box.

I swear – why are these people allowed to work in places where people are already under a lot of stress?

But I made a promise to myself – and to this rude woman – I will NEVER again just toss my change into the Ronald McDonald catch-all for donations.

I will even go one step further – I will stop going to McDonald all together. After all, when learning the nutritional value in their food – it does not exactly want me to run there and fill up..

    • Besides – if McDonalds Corporate CEO is worth all those millions in his paycheck and bonus checks….then what are the lives of all those children in hospitals worth?

Our priorities in this country are all screwed up…..

  8. My heart hurts for you and your family and all you’ve had to go through already and face in the future. Is there anything I may do to help?

    • Thanks, but no.

As you know from personal experience with your own loved ones in the hospital – it sucks….and nothing can be done to change things.

It does help for me to vent my frustrations…….for a little while. LOL

      • I remember when you shared how you learned what the organ donation process was really all about……. that is the same way I felt about this Ronald McDonald Room thing.

It just made me want to scream…

  9. The little-known tool Republicans will use if they take the Senate

  10. They must be very worried. With good reason.

“The Five” co-host Kimberly Guilfoyle said Tuesday that young women should excuse themselves from voting in the upcoming midterm elections because they don’t share the same “life experience” as older women and should just go back to playing around on Tinder and Match.com.
“It’s the same reason why young women on juries are not a good idea,” Guilfoyle said. “They don’t get it!”
