LeftHandedmouse[1]August 13 is designated International Lefthanders Day. As its name suggests, it is meant to promote awareness of the inconveniences facing left-handed in a predominantly right-handed world. It celebrates their uniqueness and difference, who are from seven to ten percent of the world’s population.

President Obama is left-handed, along with these past presidents:  James Garfield, Herbert Hoover, Harry Truman, Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, George Bush, and Bill Clinton.  Albert Einstein was left-handed.

You may purchase left-handed scissors, golf clubs, guitars, trumpets, watches, computer mouse, desks, archery bows, knives, guns, ball mitts… What else?

People who are left handed use their right brain, which appears to help in geometry, and related subjects. There also appears to be a connection between lefthandedness and intelligence.  If this is true, don’t fail to notice that of the last six presidents only one wasn’t left-handed.  And not many people ever accused that one of being intelligent.

Who here is left-handed?
