  1. While Republicans in the Senate — 13 men behind closed doors — work to screw Americans out of health care insurance, there are many groups mobilizing to fight them.

Nationwide Blitz Launched To Derail Trumpcare In Senate

  2. Robert Reich says —

Remember when Trump said, “I have nothing to do with Russia – no deals, no loans, nothing!”

A new reporting shows that the Russian government renewed 6 Trump trademarks last year, on the basis of applications made by Trump’s business. 4 of the trademark renewals were approved on Election Day — a move that would have needed the Kremlin’s blessing.

Registered trademarks are giant financial assets for a business like Trump’s, which in recent years has made big money by selling his name rather than by building or making anything.

Other countries also appear to be using trademarks to curry favor with Trump. According to the New York Times, his business currently has 157 trademark applications pending in 36 nations. Earlier this week China approved 9 Trump trademarks that had previously been rejected.

Trump’s Russian trademarks are another clear violation of the Constitution’s foreign bribery clause.

    … and …

“Reminder: Special Counsel Robert Mueller, now heading the investigation into ties between the Trump campaign and the Russian attack on our democracy in the 2016 election, is a Republican who was appointed director of the FBI by George W. Bush.

It’s important to keep this in mind when you watch Trump and right-wing Republicans moving in for the attack on Mueller.

For example, last night Newt Gingrich predicted Mueller will send someone to jail. “This is like watching an old-fashioned Western movie,” he said, denigrating Native Americans. “This is an Indian hunting party. They’re out looking for a couple scalps, and they’re not going to go home until they get some.”

Earlier in the week Gingrich tweeted “Mueller is now clearly the tip of the deep state spear aimed at destroying or at a minimum undermining and crippling the Trump presidency.”

Gingrich is a Trump surrogate. His words show how far Republicans supporting Trump have moved into paranoia, conspiracy, cynical opportunism, and utter nonsense.

I worked with Gingrich in the 1990s when he was speaker of the House and I was secretary of labor. He once had a shred of integrity. Now even that small shred is gone.”

    • Paranoia, conspiracy, cynical opportunism and utter nonsense – sounds like Alex Jones from infowars – doesn’t it?

Correct me if I am wrong, but hasn’t Trump cited Alex Jones as his news source a few times. And Trump has personally thanked Alex Jones and his supporters for getting him elected?

There is a reason why Trump instilled into his core base this baseless accusation of FAKE News.

And these Trumpublicans will rather burn down the entire country than to admit they were wrong about their Donald

Elected Republicans hate the public, i.e., the people, and love the rich in community either corporate or human. They get away with such contempt because of the nature of our system of government; a Republic where the state electors choose our government, not the people, i.e., the voters. Yes, the citizen voters do get a vote, but such plurality only counts when it agrees with the State Electors who actually elect the President/V-President. The citizen voters do choose their Representatives who, again, are accountable only to the rich, both corporate or human..

You know if it was not so serous, you would want to bust out laughing out loud. I am not encountering these diehard supporters like I was. And I notice that those are do encounter are not being the top of the game.

    • But are these folks willing to drop their support of Trump entirely?

      • Rick Liebst

I think it is baby steps, not so vocally supportive, then not willing to openly defend his policies or him.Eventually he will hit that nerve that demands they come out in a open and loud manner.

  5. Little Marco. Crooked Hillary. Crazy Bernie. Lyin’ Ted. Low-energy Jeb. Goofy Elizabeth Warren …

    • But what is the most scary part in all this – TRump has the never-questioned support of White Evangelical Kristians – who truly believe they are the favorites of Jesus.

They also believe that JESUS has given them the mission to take America back from that Muslim black guy who destroyed America for the past 8 years.

This is why mixing Politics and Religion is so damn dangerous – IMHO.

Are you comfortable with the prospect Trump might start World War III over the death of this 22-yr-old American’s death?

This is the college kid that was with a group of 10 – but he is the only one in that group that decided to tear down a poster to keep as a souvenir.

    Remember all this?

While I do not condone North Korea’s brutal treatment of this 22-yr-old college kid – but on the other hand, what part of traveling to North Korea is dangerous did this 22-yr-old not understand?

Even with that said – I was taught from a very early age that – if it does not belong to you, do NOT touch it without permission and you sure as Hell did not just TAKE it.

The term – Ugly American – is alive and well. But is it worth giving Trump the reason to start his much-desired war with the North Korean little nutjob leader?

    • I heard Trump say that North Korea is a brutal regime.

      I totally agree 100%

But so is Saudi Arabia – and yet Trump proudly told them that he was not to ‘lecture them’ – and then joined that huge crowd of dress-wearing men doing their awesome and ‘bigly’ sword dance.

Why does Trump and his Trumpublicans cherry pick their brutal dictators likes they cherry pick their Bible verses?

  7. R.D. – you live in Augusta – correct?

Do you know of any 2br house or duplex for rent now?
