  1. Stupid, greedy, thin-skinned 45* was surprised when he learned that international relationships are tricky, healthcare policy is complicated, and being POTUS is hard.

  2. Trump is a salesman, a con man, a serial liar. He lied and told his lies in simple words. He spread hate and fear of all the same people his supporters already fear and hate. Gullible people who want badly to believe his lies voted for him. Are they smart enough to see through the lies? Evidently not, Trump continues to lie and broker in hate and fear, and most continue to support him. Some simply want him to have more time. Time will tell.

Republicans attack all Liberals in much the same way. To them we all smoke pot, have dreadlocks and don’t have jobs because we can do better on welfare. And the biggie — we all use abortion as our method of birth control. Never mind the truth, lies sell.

Republicans rage against bureaucracy, regulations, Washington, D.C., the IRS, the Environmental Protection Agency, and federal politicians. Another tactic is fear and victimization. You had better watch out because government is gonna getcha! “They,” whoever that may be, are about to take away your rights. Your freedom is about to disappear. Your religious liberties will be stripped away. You won’t be able to make your own healthcare decisions. Free choice will be gone. Your children will suffer. Even though you are just an innocent person minding your own business, you are about to be victimized. Then comes the fear of foreigners, or outsiders. We must protect ourselves from the vague threats posed by those who are a little bit different from us. The particular targeted group changes, but the fear remains the same.

And, of course, someone from the Democratic Party, or some “liberal,” is to blame. If a Democrat is in the White House, then the president becomes the favorite bullseye.

Throw in God and guns and you’ve captured the ill informed.

It is not a sin to be a democrat, and God doesn’t have a political party. Many Christians do things like support the Palestinians in their fight for freedom and fair treatment from the Israelis, actually worry more about poverty and far less about women’s reproductive rights and gay marriage, ordain homsexual pastors and support women. They live their faith. They certainly aren’t the radicals who support hate, they don’t have a very bad case of keyboard bravado and aren’t the ones we hear from. They seldom make the news like angry conflict does. They’re kind, rational, members of all political parties, they don’t espouse obvious racism, they’re educated enough to know that Allah is the same God Christians worship. Abraham was the father of Ishmael the ancestor, allegedly, of all Arabs. Allah is Yahweh……same dude. They also know a theocracy conflicts with limited government and individual liberty.

Spreading hate will backfire for Republicans. It is not a sustainable political message. Trump is the insane uncle at Thanksgiving and many of his supporters are totally nuts. This does not appeal to intelligent, rational, caring people.

The Democratic Party has its work cut out but truth and justice are on our side. We’re not a dying party, we’re not going away, gloom and doom isn’t a path to victory, so let’s be proud we haven’t stooped to lies, fear and hate. Take Michelle’s excellent advice — when they go low, we go high.

  3. Trump’s grasp of history seems just about as sound as his grasp of governance. Ladies and gentlemen, #45:

“I mean, had Andrew Jackson been a little bit later, you wouldn’t have had the Civil War. He was a very tough person, but he had a big heart. He was really angry that he saw what was happening with regard to the Civil War, he said ‘There’s no reason for this’….People don’t realize, you know, the Civil War. If you think about it, why? People don’t ask that question, but why was there the Civil War? Why could that one not have been worked out?”

    • I was just going to post something about Donald’s grasp of American History.

      But what’s the surprise?

Trump is just the male version of Sarah Palin – the GOP cheerleader shaking her pom poms and regurgitating such nonsense – but yet the same Republicans cheering for Trump are the same folks who cheered for Sarah Palin.

No wonder these Republicans want to do away with public education. If our president does not even know Andrew Jackson died 16 years before the Civil War – JEEZUS Amighty, there is no hope for the future of America.

UNLESS – more and more people stand up and just say OH HELL NO..

I guess getting Neil Gorsuch on the Supreme Court was a washout for those poor persecuted Christians.

Pray tell me – the right to freedom of religion does not give a person the right to give electric shocks to homosexuals – does it?

Did you all hear about this one..

What I heard on the Public Radio was the White House is looking into how they can change the rules on what the media can ask Trump.

WTH….isn’t that violating the First Amendment? And Trump is all about loving the Constitution – isn’t he?

I bring more happy news! Bill Shine, Fox news big shot has “resigned”. His crimes must have been less that those of Billo who was straight up let go.
On further observations on the right an their media masters, I can report a growing uncertainty among them. Right wing whackaloon Alex Jones still WANTS to believe in his master, but is beginning to have concerns that he may be “the devil”. Fights begin to break out among right wing pundits. Radio ranter Michael “Savage” (his birth name is actually Wiener, but “the Wiener nation” would likely not get the following he does.) is openly attacking Tucker Carlson, FOX’s replacement for Billo.

    • Didn’t Hannity threaten to leave Fox if Shine was forced out?

But I noticed in today’s news story that Hannity is now seen as the #1 boy at Fox.

Hmmm…… why do I suspect Hannity is thrilled at this prospect – or perhaps Hannity had a hand in helping his ‘good friend’ Shine out the door?

There’s an old saying that applies to Foxxies Hen House –

There Is no honor among thieves

      Pass the Popcorn

Pray tell – when did launching 59 missiles into a foreign country become ‘after-dinner entertainment’?

Statements like this make America look like complete Ass Holes ; but G–Dammit – we are Jesus-Approved Ass Holes – aren’t we?

Republicans claim to be such morally superior Christians and that is why it is so important that we kill every evil Muslim on the face of the Earth.

That is the way this GOP Fantasy Alternative Universe believes – isn’t it?

  8. Thunderchild

The “after dinner entertainment” of a missile bombardment from the child President is of no surprise to me. Kim Jong Un, Vladmir Putin, these monsters are childs play next to the most dangerous man on the planet. And the worst part is, he knows it. This is most likely why he is making nice with the world’s worst leaders. He knows he is gonna be head thug. This has been his role his whole life. Only one hundred days into his awful reign, he already holds rallies and airs ads to continue it. He may well try to suspend the electoral process. We can only hope a few among his insane supporters are not that far gone.
As to Hannity, (another thug pretending to stand for the common man) I share your suspicions. He may well see this as his opportunity to seize Fox network, even as it falls. His only competition is gone. His mentor is gone, and even though he hinted he would leave if his mentor was let go? He instead has doubled down on the fight.

    • I suspect Hannity will also double down on his money coming in….

Gotta keep those pockets lined with all the money he can get. Isn’t that the Republican’s mantra?
