Our government, National/State/Local, is not working for citizens, i.e., the society as a whole. Government is essentially owned and operated at each level by the 1% and their corporations. And many voters both vote and support that present form of government as the “better-choice.” It appears that the largest single group of voters, today, who see this folly and are engaged in challenging and changing it are women. Women have always been life’s only hope. The males (human/animal/insect/vegetable/micro-organism) appear useful in a single act, pursuant to a female presence. It’s not “good-government.”
LOL I have not been getting here as often I wish I could. Life and the grand kids seem to get to the computer more than I do. Since a number of you are on Facebook , You see I have not stopped fighting the good fight though. OMG Trump sure does give enough ammo tho! That ego maniac can not keep his mouth shut and to Hell with convention ! It seems I am encountering quite a few suffering “Buyer’s Remorse”. Having voted for him.
We’ll know more next week when the Congressional Budget Office releases its analysis, but on the basis of the data at hand we can say with assurance that Trumpcare will dramatically reduce health insurance coverage for the working class – those earning too much to qualify for federal Medicaid but who typically don’t earn enough to receive employer-provided health insurance. In large part, these are people who voted for Trump.
On the other hand, repeal of the Affordable Care Act’s taxes on the wealthy will deliver roughly $157 billion over the coming decade to those with annual incomes of $1 million or more, according to Congress’s Joint Committee on Taxation. People making $200,000 to $999,999 a year would also get sizable tax cuts. Many of these people are professionals who in 2016 voted for Hillary Clinton.
Donald Trump pulled the biggest bait-and-switch trick in American political history. But will his supporters ever figure this out?
Why take a drug when you can get the real thing?
Roger Stone (Kellyannes predecessor) now says he had contact with hacker Guccifer 2.0 but that the contact was very brief and entirely innocuous. Guccifer 2.0 is a known hacker and strongly suspected of ties with Russia.
And that sets me to wondering. IF the contact was very brief and innocuous, why even confess to it at all? What is the sense in getting out in front of a story that, according to Stone, isn’t there? Innocent people don’t jump at shadows. Guilty people, on the other hand, are always jittery that the truth will out. And this comes less than a week after tiny hands and his claim that Obama had his “wires tapped”. No evidence presented. The source seeming only to be the musings of a far right radio ranter. For a week now it has looked to me like “They know so much. They know too much! No way they could know this unless they tapped me!”
Now, on advice from right wing ranter Sean Hannity, the Justice department is purged. Including a Judge that Donald PERSONALLY asked to stay on. He was asked yesterday to resign. He refused and was fired today.
Now I grant you, these people have a lot of power. They have Congress, the White House, and shortly the Supreme Court and much of the bureaucracy.
It doesn’t make sense that they are so jumpy. Unless they have a really good reason to be.
I like that Obama is staying out of it. By weighing in, he would only dignify and distract part of the light and noise.
And as bad as this administration is? The longer this drags out, the worse for us, yes, but for them as well. Cheetos is already impeachable in maybe 2 dozen ways. We got him. The longer this drags out the closer we come to being able to ask Mike Pence what he knew and when he knew it.
I hope somewhere, Hillary Clinton is smiling now.
I suspect Hillary is enjoying the show of Trump Titantic hitting more and more icebergs – of their own making.
BUT – I also suspect Hillary is feeling more saddened by the fact that Trump and his Chumps still have no clue as to how a real president should behave.
I may be naïve – but I still think Hillary loves America and a workhorse like Hillary does not get any enjoyment from seeing our country go through this Trump Tirade.
Have you notice how silent our allies are around the world? There have been a few outspoken ones – but the majority, we don’t hear much from them.
Could it be they are all trying to SHUN the Donald and through this strategy, Donald will get the hint to SHAPE UP or ship out?
Even Putin is being very silent in the past few two months – why?
When will Putin get tired of Trump’s penchant for spewing nonsense over his Twitter Tirade Rants?
Well well, it seems Roger Stone has been on a tear all week on Twitter. Except for a brief period when the site banned him for 24 hours for misogynist conduct and BOY did the right howl about that!
These people are way too reactionary and angry given the position they are in.
Know how you blow up a reactionary? And I had plenty of experience on the WEblog. You keep them reacting. KEEP probing. KEEP digging. KEEP giving them things to react to.
This is a bar graph — it clearly shows the differences between the two major parties. Amazing that anybody that isn’t extremely wealthy ever votes for a republican!
Two days after a bronze statue of a young girl meant to signify the power of women in leadership roles was installed in front of the Wall Street bull in downtown Manhattan, a man was seen rubbing up against the effigy in what some are calling proof that sexism is alive and well in 2017.
Kaloyanides, an architectural designer from Queens, snapped a photo of the incident and posted it to social media, writing: “Almost as if out of central casting, some Wall Street finance broseph appeared and started humping the statue while his gross date rape-y friends laughed and cheered him on. He pretended to have sex with the image of a little girl. Douchebags like this are why we need feminism.”
That disgusts me to the point of sickening. But it does not surprise me in the least.
I absolutely LOVE bronze girl.! But the same things that make me love it make clowns like these yokels not only hate it but seek to desecrate it. I would love to see it be a permanent fixture, right where it is. But I very much doubt that will be allowed to happen.
Sorry, the sculpture’s title is apparently Defiant Girl. And there is absolutely NO reason she should be moved from that spot by anything above vandalism. The Bull itself was apparently placed there by an artist in 1989 and allowed to stay by the City, as the land he is on is a park, OPPOSITE Wall Street. No reason Defeiant Girl can’t stay as well!

What does the Bible say about evil doers hiding their deeds in the dark?
The more light is shown on that darkness – the more these evil doers squeal like stuck pigs….. or is stuck elephants?
