What I want to know is – what are these Trump Chumps going to do when their boy really does start the war?
These are the folks who don’t have a clue as to factual history – of the sacrifices average Americans had to make during World War II. We have the ration book that belonged to my husband’s grandmother. We have always made it a point to teach both our kids – and now the grandkids – that going to war is not something people should treat like a damn game.
Can you imagine the average American if they can’t get their cell phones to work – or they can’t drive their car because there is no gas available?
What about the food they buy – what happens when all deliveries are stopped and our country just does not produce anything – nor do we manufacture other goods that much anymore.
And with Trump at the wheel of this Titantic – do you really think he and Bannon is going to get Americans prepared?
OH HELL NO…..
But Trump and Bannon has found a good use for all those people ‘over there’ – they will make good fodder for the combat fields.
But don’t expect any Republican to volunteer to do the actual fighting and dying – they all have bone spurs….
Trump is once again throwing out that red meat to his adoring fans.
Did I miss the news report of any Christian Church being fire bombed, vandalized or some black person going in their doors to murder White Christians in cold blood – like that white guy Dylan Roof did to those black church members in South Carolina?
From my drive on East 21st going out to Andover – several large Mega Christian Churches are looking pretty safe – and prosperous.
And all on tax-free prime real estate and they’re raking in tax-free millions.
If that is persecution – where the Hell do I sign up?
“Destroy” the Johnson Amendment?
Oh PLEASE let him go there. “Destroy” means get rid of, wipe out. And he cannot do that without Congress. Congressional republicans will be most unwilling to support that. Doing so would easily cost them the House and Senate.
He could simply ignore the Johnson Amendment. He is the chief executive. (it made me sick typing that) He can order the IRS to ignore it and fire anyone who disagrees. The attendant shitstorm would be huge but far less than an attempt to repeal.
So its a big over reach or a really big over reach.
Given the toddler in chief? I’m guessing he goes for the really big over reach. It makes more noise and gains the attention whore more attention.
This one is lose/lose AND lose for little hands. Pursue repeal is lose. Ignore the law is lose. Abandon promise is lose, in that order.
An Executive Order is all he plans, at least that’s what I heard. No involvement of Congress which NOW they don’t complain about. Why do you think getting rid of the Johnson Amendment isn’t something they all want? Seems like the perfect gift to the Evangelinuts.

It is now up to the Congress to act on those Executive Orders.

I do find it rather amusing – Trump’s Cabinet nominees are following in their leader’s footsteps – because none of them have won the Popular Vote – have they?
And this has gotta hurt Trump’s thin skin……
But one good thing – when Democrats stick together and vote NO on these Cabinet nominees – their votes will be on the legal historical documents and they can proudly say – we didn’t vote this bunch . This coming fiasco is entirely in the Trump and Chump’s lap.

The logic is – we are not used to politicians actually doing as they promised.

“Puppet-” good post. Puppets are manipulated; some simple and easy, some not. Either way, a puppet is a puppet. And that is a very good metaphor for President Trump. Just pull the correct $ting$.
The world has seen those strings before – and it did not end well. My concern is – does the average American even know factual history?

Sadly – the 24% that voted Trump into power will believe it is FAKE NEWS.
