Today’s post makes it very clear, how easy it is going to be for we Democrats to elect the next President; who will be the first woman to be President of the United States of America.
As fnord and I were talking yesterday, I am hopeful and optimistic but don’t count Trump out just yet. We need to get everyone out to vote..
There are millions of Americans who don’t care what the facts are – and they don’t even bother to look up from their current Pokémon Go mobile app game to even notice what is going on.
A lot of Americans just want to sit back, go on with their lives and let someone else do the work.
I’m not saying Trump will do the work of the Presidency – but Trump makes a lot of promises and that’s all that counts with some people.
If you listen closely to Trump – all he ever says is how many votes he got in the GOP primary – more than anyone has ever gotten before – and Trump is only concerned about Wining.
Trump reminds me of when Charlie Sheen had his public meltdown and posted himself saying he was Winning….. And look what happened to him – he lost his hit t.v. show.
But even with Charlie Sheen – he is still on t.v. (the last time I checked) but it’s a not a hit t.v. show like the one he lost.
Americans have been dumbed down since Reagan’s 8 year reign of terror – and some folks are just not that inquisitive to even look up to see the big picture.
I’ve been so preoccupied with the stupidity going on in Kansas and the presidential elections I haven’t paid much attention to other races. This morning I read that Paul Ryan is in a tight reelection bid in the upcoming Wisconsin primary Aug. 9. A Republican businessman is running against him.
WOW! Wouldn’t that be something if Paul Ryan didn’t win reelection!?
I, for one, will greatly miss this wonderful First Lady Michelle Obama. She has always been a great representative of our country. I loved her speech – especially when she talked about the first day of school for their two daughters – age 7 and 10.
She spoke of that cold winter morning when the two girls got into black SUVs with men, with guns, and she thought – what have we done. She had already talked about how life in the White House being so different.
When she talked about her two girls – the sincerity of her true mother’s love came through with each word.
And then Michelle pivoted from her own time in the White House with her two girls – who are now young women – to Hillary Clinton had raised a daughter to perfection. But more than that – Hillary has devoted her entire public service life to families and children.
That’s when it hit me – this is truly what is missing in our country today. The children – our future – is the last thing on anyone’s mind.
Republicans talk about how everybody wants to be millionaires (I never wanted to be one) and how we should go to war because of some God-given mission to wipe out all Muslims.
NO – that’s not what our country should be about. It’s our children and what type of future they will have in America.
Another line in Michelle Obama’s speech struck me as very good advice in dealing with people who say and do hateful things about you. She said there is a saying in their family – when they go low, we go high.
Take the higher road. I needed to hear that tonight. I have confessed many times on this blog that I am very cynical – especially about these Kristian Konservatives. I need to work on that….

Birds of a feather, flock together..
This should be Hillary’s next campaign ad –
I suspect there must be some evidence somewhere that cannot be hidden – because Ailes departed Fox News rather fast – didn’t he?
Hell – even Bill O’Reilly settled his sexual harassment lawsuit rather than to take it to court – remember?
My, oh my, O’Reilly and Ailes are from the same News corporation – imagine that.
What did I say above? Birds of a feather, flock together

Talk about “Frosting-on-the-Cake!” “16 may turn-out to be a-very-good-year”
From you lips to God’s ears…
If you want to make God laugh, the saying goes, tell Her your plans.
good one fnord.
