  1. Honestly, friends, the news is depressing.

    People hate one another.

Where do people get the energy to sustain hate? It is draining.

I have almost given up. Me, the Pollyanna. Too often I feel and think bad things for people I’ve never even met — Trump, right-wingers, bible-thumpers, xenophobes, homophobes, racists… Then I stop and realize I’m just like the haters! Just can’t do it anymore, friends. It’s too dangerous and I’m too vulnerable.

Yep, today is a good day for a good day! I love you all!

fnord – you’re my ray of optimism – my Pollyanna.

I know I keep yammering on about Right Wingers and Bible Thumpers – but I’ve never made it a secret that I’ve been personally hurt by those folks. Once burned – twice shy.

We all have our roles to play – and I have always admired you for your eternal optimism.

  2. Yes, the ‘post’ is too definitely USA! Our nation of emigrants has lost touch with itself. Old world wisdom would advance the Greek idea of “love” in its many faceted names and meanings, still very appropriate for our time and society, yet virtually lost today in the USA. Ill judgment is warranted.

I can understand the frustration of illegal immigration. I can also understand Americans demanding that something be done.

But what I don’t understand is why these same folks never seem to blame the reason for illegal immigrants coming into our country – the Corporatization of America.

Trump is the poster child for Corporate CEO willingly exploiting the cheap labor of illegals

And when confronted with the facts that Trump has used the very same immigratints that he now condemns – what do his supporters do? DEFEND him even more by using the excuse – that is the way business is done.

But if it’s okay for a businessman to exploit the cheap labor and take government subsidies and/or special tax breaks – then why is not okay for Americans to use the same government help to feed their familes?

That is what frustrates me the most – it seems Republicans only want to help the Corporate CEOs and all the ‘right’ folks.
