  1. Google+ tells me today is International Random Acts of Kindness Day. I hope we all take the opportunity to be kind!

There’s a story someone wrote (I don’t know who) and, although fiction, makes me wish all parts of the world could be just like this tribe named ‘Laughing Trees.’

In this African tribe, when someone does something harmful, they take the person to the center of the village where the whole tribe comes and surrounds them.

For two days, they will say to the man all the good things that he has done.
The tribe believes that each human being comes into the world as ‘a good.’ Each one of us only desiring safety, love, peace and happiness.

But sometimes, in the pursuit of these things, people make mistakes.
The community sees those mistakes as a cry for help.

They unite then to lift him, to reconnect him with his true nature, to remind him who he really is, until he fully remembers the truth of which he had been temporarily disconnected: “I am good.”

    Shikoba Nabajyotisaikia!

NABAJYOTISAIKIA, is a compliment members of the ‘Laughing Trees’ tribe uses and means: “I respect you, I cherish you. You matter to me.” In response, people say SHIKOBA, which is: “So, I exist for you.”

O.K. Now, this sounds good and reasonable. Americans can learn much from peoples deems less civilized. Too often ‘civilized’ is the same as mean and treacherous. Ask the Native Americans.

      • If we had listened to the Native Americans – our families would be intact and I remember hearing many times over – the Indian Chief does not eat until AFTER every one of his people eats.

When was the last time we’ve seen any elected official and other politicians miss a damn meal?

  2. As for this Shariah Law nonsense – I suspect that is just another fundraising tool for these Mega Corporate Churches and other Christian(?) groups to separate the fools from their money.

And to think – it’s all tax free.

    • This is similar to how these groups also use the abortion issue – gay marriage issue – and the non-existent religious persecution issue.

These are ALL big money makers for those certain ‘right’ folks…

      • I am sure you know where it is coming from. Since the majority of the Church going are tax payers. Their reasoning is that when it is the State paying for an abortion. Then it is their money paying for it! A violation of their religious believes. The same goes for private insurance such as from a large group policy like employers. I have had these arguments before with family members. .

      • But at the same time – these same Church folks don’t give a fat rat’s ass their taxpayer money is being used to pay for Viagra pills for those men on Medicare.

That never seems to bother them…

      • BTW – these same folks don’t give a fat rat’s ass their taxpayer money is being used to start endless wars…that kill innocent lives – same as abortion kills?? – but war is okay with Jesus?

Because those churches do not ‘practice what they preach.’ Never have.

      • And sad to say – will never be made to feel they have an obligation to follow the true teachings of Jesus.

Corporatization has engulfed America – and these mega churches are leading the way..IMHO
