  1. Judging from their previous history of this Radical Far Fringe Right Crowd – thinking is not one of their strengths.

  2. Some people are saying the bigots in the republican party have grown strong enough and the civil war they’ve started among the other factions in their party will be their downfall. Our very own 6176 expects the bigoted idiots to grow stronger and replace more of the few thinking people with the little “R” beside their name.

    What do YOU think?

I’m not smart enough to make a prediction, but I am very worried. These bigots are evil people and seemingly unable to reason through their hatred.

Here’s a piece about the history of the bigots I found interesting —

  3. An increase in Part B Medicare cost —

(from the link): Short of congressional or Department of Health and Human Services intervention at this point, roughly 15 million seniors, first-time beneficiaries or those currently claiming both Medicare and Medicaid coverage will see their premiums jump from $104.90 per month to $159.30 for individuals, according to an analysis by the Center for Retirement Research at Boston College. Higher-income couples would pay multiples of that increase.

The cost to Congress of averting such a premium hike is substantial – ranging from $2.8 billion to $7.5 billion, depending on calculations and budgetary baselines used in the computations. An aide to Boehner said on Tuesday that the speaker – who retires from Congress at the end of the month and is trying to complete a lot of budget business – is insisting that the cost of the bailout be offset by cuts in other programs.

Pelosi had urged Boehner to include the funding in the short-term continuing resolution approved late last month that will keep the government operating through December 11, according to a source. Now she is pressing him for a stand-alone bill to pass this week before the premium increase is likely to take effect. According to an aide, the longer Congress takes to act, the more expensive it becomes.

    • My own thinking here – I suspect Republicans want this increased premium to go through because a lot of those folks will blame Obama.

Watch and wait……Republicans are capable of burning down the entire country just for a chance to make Obama look bad – IMHO

    • Asher Bob White

The Republicans can’t get rid of the ACA but they can sure cause problems for its users. Clearly a strategy. They are friends of big pharma and big insurance, however, they are no friends of the common good and the public interest.

    • This is so awesome….

My grandson has become fascinated with all the different churches we pass along the way to pick up his older sister from school.

He always asks me – which one has the Pope living in the back room. And the other question is – where does he keep his hat.

Anyway – I’ve told him the different religions that are represented and a little bit about their beliefs.

This little 5-yr-old boy asked me in plain words – why so many different groups with different names. Don’t they all talk about God?

Out of the mouth of babes….

      • As I’ve shared before – I lost my faith in organized religions a long time ago. We do not attend church. We have gone to a few churches in the past 38 years of marriage, but we don’t ever want to ‘belong’ to any church ever again.

Besides – my husband’s family is half Jewish – so I’ve told my grandkids that if anybody keeps bothering them about having to go to a certain church – I’ve told them to tell the little Bible Thumper that ‘we are part Jewish, so back off’

There is a certain Baptist Church that continually sends their leaflets in the take-home packets my granddaughter brings home every Wednesday.

        WTF…….that bothers me a lot.

I wonder how these Baptists would feel if it was a Muslim, Jewish or Catholic group sending their leaflets home in the same packet.

How long would it take before these Baptists raise all kinds of Holy Hell?
