  1. No. Isil, or whatever they’re called, or the Taliban or anyone for that matter is crossing the border bringing Ebola!

At least pay attention to where the real danger is: the religious right. Face the facts that right here in America the religious right wants to take away all your freedoms. They don’t stop at just controlling vaginas, marriage, contraception, workers’ rights, voters’ rights, religion and education. At the same time they deregulate everything banks and corporations do.

Our form of government is all about “We The People,” not corporations. Don’t divert your attention to what the religious right is telling you about the evil Mooslims in other countries when all the while they are doing the same right here in America. Don’t be afraid — fear is a tool used for control. We can make sure the religious right don’t win. Theocracy is theocracy. One form of religious oppression is as evil as another.

  2. Don’t waste any time on asking why the religious right takes science out of textbooks, support the agendas of science deniers, and push for private schools.

  3. Meanwhile, here’s the kinds of programs and initiatives President Obama pushes:

“And too often, parents have no choice but to put their kids in cheaper daycare that maybe doesn’t have the kinds of programming that makes a big difference in a child’s development. And sometimes there may just not be any slots, or the best programs may be too far away. And sometimes, someone, usually mom, leaves the workplace to stay home with the kids, which then leaves her earning a lower wage for the rest of her life as a result. And that’s not a choice we want Americans to make.

“So let’s make this happen. By the end of this decade, let’s enroll 6 million children in high-quality preschool, and let’s make sure that we are making America stronger. That is good for families; it’s also good for the children, because we know investing in high-quality early childhood education makes all the difference in the world, and those kids will do better. So we need family leave, we need better child care policies, and we need to make sure that women get an honest day’s pay for an honest day’s work.”

I might add Fox “News” is telling the puppets that watch and believe them that what the president said was: President Obama doesn’t want women to stay home with their children.

  4. Here’s a sample of right-wing nutjobs and what they say about people they think of as different (that includes religious, sexual persuasion, color differences and women).

All from the week of October 26-31, 2014 —

  5. Does their ?thinking? go something along the lines of since he gave up playing golf he could do whatever he wanted whenever and wherever? While wisdom would tell you a game of golf could easily be played in a few short hours… Never mind, wisdom isn’t a quality I’ve seen any evidence ‘conservatives’ possess.

  6. Jim Wright at Stonekettle Station nails it again —

    • Persecution Alley – just a leisurely drive down 21st Street North going east from Wichita to Andover.

There are several mega churches down that road and they are selling the same product… J-E-S-U-S
