Ah, yes: back to the days of “kingdoms and empires”! Oh, wait a minute, we are “today’s empire”. There are changes all around us, and yet, some things never change; like human nature and greed. Why can’t we, i.e., humanity, change things like that?

    • Because greed is more fun when you have a blackened heart.

But – when talking about the chastity belt, tell me what is the difference between these Evangelinuts pushing their religious views on to the entire population and these Islamists that Evnagies love to demonize for their treatment of their women?

There is no difference – IMHO

    Go….. B-E-R-N-I-E

Bernie Sanders is what this country needs but is the country smart enough to realize it?

    • I agree, and I also have the same question you do. We have a bunch of voters who want to “take their country back,” but when you ask what they would do differently their answers prove they really aren’t well informed. They’ll start in about taxes and when you explain that taxes are historically low they say “you don’t know what you’re talking about.” They don’t seem to understand the difference between debt and the deficit and will get louder and more rude with the “you don’t know what you’re talking about” when you explain that the deficit is lower under President Obama. And so it goes.

That’s without mentioning the citizens who don’t vote at all.

They have no idea what the Affordable Care Act really does and will argue till the day is done that it wasn’t a ‘conservative’ plan. [eye roll]

So, I guess I just answered our question — no, the people of this country aren’t smart enough.

    • How many times has the Bible been translated?

When I ask these Evangelinuts why they believe their version of the Bible is the ‘one true God’ and they give me this look like I have three heads.

I can only conclude that people want to believe what they want to believe…

But as for the reason why Christians can tell atheists they will burn in Hell and get away with it – that is because this is the Christian’s way to bring in a lot of tax-free money……….the fear of being thrown into the bowels of Hell for eternity is a mighty strong motivator – if you’re gullible enough to believe it.

And if you’re that gullible – then you’re the perfect person for those same Christian preachers and televangelists to keep fleecing for more and more tax-free money to line their own pockets.

Organized religion has nothing to do with a person’s faith or spiritual life.

In fact, some of the most spiritual people I know do not even belong to the damn church.

And some Atheists I know actually live a better so-called Christian life than a lot of these Evangelinuts.

      • When I was in the Fundy Baptist Church – our chosen version of the Bible (the only true Bible) was the King James Bible.

I wonder how many Evangelinuts even know who King James was – and what type of person was he?
