  1. CONservative Republicans think Whining is the same as Winning….

    • They have nothing else.

What republican legislative achievement do you think helped the most Americans?

We all know the answer. Republicans have nothing more than obstinance and whining.

My new question is why do republicans continue to support their own bullshit? They don’t have women, youth, minorities, gays, or thinking people fooled. How long will those old white men and the women who do their bidding be around?

Any fans of the television series ‘Downtown Abbey’ ? My husband and I have watched this series for the past few years and I would recommend it.

We watch a lot of the Public Education channel.

This little exercise was fun -it took me a while to catch what the problem was in this picture.

If you don’t want to be told what the unperiod item is – then don’t read the article until you’ve given up looking for it yourself.

Once you see it, you shake your head and say – wow..

    • Though I do not recall watching it, I tend to gravitate toward PBS several times a day. Mostly at night since in the day times I have far too much to try and get done. This not working is going to be the end of me!

  3. I so love getting the Political calls, they start out telling me how Obama is doing this or that. Than that this person whom is running will do this or that to stop him! I asks if they are being funded by the Koch brothers and they hang up on me? Funny huh… ?

  4. If you’re an open carry gun nut or a Cliven Bundy, or maybe if you’re white — you have less to worry about. If you are an unarmed young black man who encounters the police your chances of survival are not good.

    • I’m sure you guys have realized I am very very disappointed in law enforcement! I don’t think many of them have “serve and protect” in their thoughts!

  5. Robert Reich wisdom —

Republican legislatures and governors in 20 states have refused to expand Medicaid under Obamacare (even though the federal government picks up the whole tab for the first 3 years and 90% thereafter) because, they say, they don’t want to be dependent on federal handouts.

But according to the Tax Foundation, every one of these 20 red states already gets back from the federal government each year more than their citizens pay into it in federal taxes (these “handouts” come in the form of agricultural subsidies, military spending, infrastructure, pork projects, retirement benefits, and food stamps), while blue states with Democratic governors and predominately Democratic legislatures pay more to the federal government than they get back. In other words, these 20 red states already live on handouts from blue states. As a blue-state taxpayer, I don’t mind subsidizing red states, but if their governors and legislatures continue to complain about federal handouts I may have second thoughts. How about you?
