  1. Hopefully the other penguins won’t try and pass legislation to take the hatchling away — so they don’t have to give up their own freedoms, or some equally lame excuse that keeps some freedoms for some who are obviously more worthy or something…

  2. Sometimes the best rebuttal to a questionable claim is to simply let the person defend it. Here it is, absent any framing or spin (other than, of course, his own), what John Boehner claims are “dozens of jobs bills.” This is an old piece but they’ve done pretty much nothing since, with plans to do absolutely nothing until after the midterm election.

No Pivot Necessary: Republicans Consistently Focused on Jobs –

    • When you write “the House has passed more than 40 jobs bills,” what might REALLY help is just being straight with the voters: passing a House bill onto the Senate which proposes an additional tax break on our home office and spiffy new computer equipment (so we can “work” from our homes in the Hampton’s) isn’t a “jobs bill.” Any of these so-called Republican “jobs bills” are feeble and ineffective measures to put ordinary Americans back to work; they more rightly fall into the category of kickbacks to your wealthy corporate donors.

I’m sorry, Mr. Speaker, but I stand with the president when he says “I’m not going to apologize for trying to do something while they’re doing nothing.” It was a losing political strategy (sitting on your hands while simultaneously pointing a finger of blame at the White House) for your party leading up to the president’s reelection in 2012 — and it’s going to be a loser for you in 2014 and 2016 as well. Do your damned job already. Lead, follow, or get the hell out of the way.

    • NOW this is funny..

Maybe that last part is the key to why Republicans are so mean? Too many white men with white-tight panties in a bunch because they are NOT having all night having sex?

Well, that, and the bankers are not getting their profits.

  3. LOL if I do not watch out you all will be the only friends I have left! I speak out when I hear a family member say something stupid on face book or in person.

  4. (from the link): “The goal was that the United States have a greatly diminished Federal Government out of the business of social programs, regulation, public works, and education, and where men were free to conduct their business without Government intervention and with zero taxation of the rich. Tax exempt religious organizations was the preferred vehicle to ensure that the ultra wealthy would pay no taxes on business operations. Regular people would be poor, uneducated, and powerless, unable to join labor unions as they would not be allowed.”
