  1. Whenever you see one of the numerous ads for Capital One credit cards – remember this: Capital One bought out Household Bank (which got caught laundering money for drug cartels) AND Capital One is the bank behind several of these retail store credit cards like Menards, Lowes, etc.

Capital One is a very wealthy corporation and if they can buy up other banks to monopolize their playing field – then they have too much damn money – IMHO

In other words – Capital One has monopolized the credit card business.

Maybe these folks took lessons on how to monopolize from the Catholics and their many hospitals and health care clinics??

    • Why fear the black man in the White House or any Muslim terrorists – America is being consumed by corporatization.

Hell – look at these mega churches that have become nothing more than exclusive Corporate Church Country Clubs.

      • I so agree, they are so isolated in their association with others that I can see them walking around in side the church. ” Do you believe in Christ? Can I tell you of my Lord? Jesus is my personal savior!” The truest meaning of preaching to the choir! I could not believe when I found out some have their own swimming pools inside the building.

  2. Daily Show host Jon Stewart literally scoffed at Republicans on Thursday over their continued willingness to commit U.S. financing toward military situations around the globe while complaining about any spending on domestic programs.

“I’m really worried about the Republicans,” Stewart said. “Their inability to wean themselves off of military intervention. They have a culture of defendency, if you will. And I believe it’s turned them all into warfare queens. And I think we need to cut them off for their own good.”

To illustrate his point, Stewart showed clips of GOP legislators like Roy Blunt, Louie Gohmert and others calling for the country to devote resources toward “creating democracy” in other countries, only to turn around and say “hell no” to bills covering jobs, veterans’ benefits and unemployment benefits in the U.S.

“Basically, when we give other countries’ government assistance, they handle it great,” he observed. “But when we get it ourselves, we f*ck it all up.”

Republicans will take care of any country “except” America! Bring ‘democracy’ here and here and here, build schools and hospitals and pay the cost of bringing needed health care to citizens of countries all across the globe — all except America. Oh, and feed that Military Industrial Complex, just not American citizens.

  3. When these idiot asshole republicans bring impeachment proceedings right after the midterm elections will the charge be

    1. Being president while democrat

    2. Being president while black

    3. Both

  4. This fall democrats better vote in numbers never seen before!

IMHO – this is what happens when insanity takes over a large crowd of folks.

What the Hell is going on?

This Tea Party leader kills himself and for what? He got wrapped up in all this 24/7 nonsense of Obama hatred and Establishment Republican hatred?

Let’s not lose fact of the situation this guy was currently in – he was charged with taking a picture without permission – he was one of four supporters of Chris McDaniel – the Tea Party Darling that was lost his GOP primary to Thad Cochran in Mississippi.

Last I heard – this McDaniel dude has refused to concede his defeat to Thad Cochran ….and he is spewing all kinds of nonsense on whatever media outlet he can spew……

Then – factor in overpaid mouthpieces like Foxxies Hen House and Rush Limbaugh in the toxic mess – and the consequences can be deadly.

How much more can these Tea Party folks get riled up and kept foaming at their mouths before more people are hurt???

    • Those four charged were the ones that reportedly went into the nursing home to take a picture of Thad Cochran’s bedridden wife.

From what I read when this first hit the news was they were going to use this picture as an attack against Thad Cochran with the innuendo and gossip that he has a mistress and is unfaithful to his poor bedridden wife who has dementia and is in a home.

Yeah, but who the hell was taking the pictures of that poor bedridden women for political hacking purposes??

But these Tea Party folks are just like the Pro Life folks that get their bunch riled up to the point where one of their members feels God has called him to go into a doctor’s church and kill that doctor in cold blood.

Something is very evil in our society…

  6. This is a little bit long and wordy but also an easy read and worth the time spent. It’s written by a very wealthy man who refers to himself as a 1%er, and he is warning fellow uber wealthy 1%ers about the imminent danger to their wealth from the growing divide between the haves and have-nots. He says, “I have a message for my fellow filthy rich, for all of us who live in our gated bubble worlds: Wake up, people. It won’t last.”

(from the link): If we don’t do something to fix the glaring inequities in this economy, the pitchforks are going to come for us. No society can sustain this kind of rising inequality. In fact, there is no example in human history where wealth accumulated like this and the pitchforks didn’t eventually come out. You show me a highly unequal society, and I will show you a police state. Or an uprising. There are no counterexamples. None. It’s not if, it’s when.

Many of us think we’re special because “this is America.” We think we’re immune to the same forces that started the Arab Spring—or the French and Russian revolutions, for that matter. I know you fellow .01%ers tend to dismiss this kind of argument; I’ve had many of you tell me to my face I’m completely bonkers. And yes, I know there are many of you who are convinced that because you saw a poor kid with an iPhone that one time, inequality is a fiction.

…we reminded the masses that they are the source of growth and prosperity, not us rich guys. We reminded them that when workers have more money, businesses have more customers—and need more employees. We reminded them that if businesses paid workers a living wage rather than poverty wages, taxpayers wouldn’t have to make up the difference.

So forget all that rhetoric about how America is great because of people like you and me and Steve Jobs. You know the truth even if you won’t admit it: If any of us had been born in Somalia or the Congo, all we’d be is some guy standing barefoot next to a dirt road selling fruit. It’s not that Somalia and Congo don’t have good entrepreneurs. It’s just that the best ones are selling their wares off crates by the side of the road because that’s all their customers can afford.

Republicans and Democrats in Congress can’t shrink government with wishful thinking. The only way to slash government for real is to go back to basic economic principles: You have to reduce the demand for government. If people are getting $15 an hour or more, they don’t need food stamps. They don’t need rent assistance. They don’t need you and me to pay for their medical care. If the consumer middle class is back, buying and shopping, then it stands to reason you won’t need as large a welfare state. And at the same time, revenues from payroll and sales taxes would rise, reducing the deficit.
