  1. This should be the republican theme song —

Isn’t this the guy who had decades of problems with the Catholic Church? And they still haven’t changed very much!

  2. Congressman adjourns Idaho GOP convention amid infighting and jeers from attendees

The Idaho state GOP convention collapsed on Saturday as the presiding Republican U.S. congressman called a halt to the proceedings amid infighting and walk-outs by delegates.

It appears that at least the Idaho GOP is reaping the rewards of a national/state immoral conservative republican movement within the Grand Old Party.

  3. LOL I have been once again battling Nazi-Cons on Face book. The calls for the impeachment of the President is over flowing and it is never coming from the people I seem to know.

  4. GOP “logic”: 4,000 American soldiers and hundreds of thousands of civilians dead in Iraq = good. Four dead people in Benghazi = bad.

Col. Lawrence Wilkerson is obviously a very smart guy —- so explain to me why he is still a member of the Republican Party! It will never be the party it used to be, e.g., Lincoln, Teddy, and Eisenhower.

  7. “To keep receiving food stamp benefits, I had to spend every “work day” at a Human Resources Administration work-search office – my presence there was mandatory from Monday through Friday and from 9am to 5pm. The office was more than an hour from my apartment (that is, when public transportation – which I had to pay for myself – was functioning properly), but arriving even five minutes late earned a strike against my record for “non-compliance”. Two strikes, and I would have been out: the US system automatically revokes all benefits for rule-breakers, who then have to start the application process all over again. It’s not a pleasant thing to discover when you’re attempting to pay for groceries and your EBT card suddenly no longer works. The only excusable absences are job interviews – which required asking the interviewer for a mortifying letter of verification – or for illness with a doctor’s note. I asked about what would happen if I’d had a cold but couldn’t afford to go to a doctor just for a note about it. My caseworker shrugged and said I’d have to go to the ER.”

I got my Master’s, couldn’t find a job and lived on food stamps. Now stop calling me a ‘welfare queen’

  8. If Nancy Pelosi is “on” this I feel encouraged! She IS a lady who gets things done!

(from the link): House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and other lawmakers are urging a federal appeals court to overturn a decision by U.S. District Judge Eric Melgren. They say it will limit the authority of Congress to regulate federal elections.

They made a friend-of-the-court filing last week at the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals…in a lawsuit filed by Kansas and Arizona to force federal elections officials to let those states impose their proof-of-citizenship requirements on federal voter registration forms used by residents of their states.
