Interesting graphic, but one thing is left out. Pigs often eat their young, alive. Not only those piglets that might be weak, but all of them. Obviously those sucking from the teats of the financial industry aren’t aware of that. 😉
Excellent observation regarding today’s post. Regarding the public’s “elected”, big business along with it’s chamber of commerce will devour those elected to a point at which the elected are worthless to their constituents. Today’s post “got-it-right”!
Those who happily step up to suck off the 1% teat are also those folks who truly believe in Reagan’s economics of trickle down.
This big fat lie was ushered in by a Hollywood actor with the gift of the silver tongue – and he presented himself as such a fine, moral and upstanding Christian man. (big eye roll)
It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that the root systems in living plants is what feeds the entire plant and keeps it growing.
In fact, pruning the top of the branches is a necessary action in order to keep the plant growing and thriving..
Maybe this is why CON Republicans do not want public education to be taught – especially things like science and botany????

Once it’s done and hopefully acceptable, I have to move on to writing a new one. Too bad I don’t get paid as quickly as I’m expected to do these things.

Between the old computer giving up the ghost and the new one not liking my Word Processing soft ware. I have been writing and re-writing the tale of my experience of the heart attack. Started shortly after I got home from the rehab. Lets see 2009 to now?
Justice Department Calls In The Big Guns To Stop Voter Suppression
It’s difficult to exaggerate the prominence Stanford Law Professor Pam Karlan enjoys within the progressive legal community. Karlan is one of the most active members of the Supreme Court bar — among other things, she co-authored the brief that convinced the justices to strike down the anti-gay Defense of Marriage Act last June. She is a former litigator for the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, and she is among the most widely regarded voting rights experts in the nation. If President Obama had shown more courage in the early years of his presidency, or if Senate Democrats had deployed the nuclear option sooner, she would be a federal appellate judge today. Many Court watchers, including myself, would choose her if we could place only one person on the Supreme Court.
So when the Justice Department revealed on Friday that Karlan would become the nation’s top voting rights attorney, it was as if Marsellus Wallace called up the many voters being disenfranchised in states like Texas and North Carolina, and told them that he’s sending The Wolf.
Karlan will take over as Deputy Assistant Attorney General in charge of the Civil Rights Division’s voting rights section. In this role, she will oversee the Justice Department’s most important challenges to voter suppression laws — including its efforts to restore federal oversight of Texas’ election law and its challenge to the nation’s worst voter suppression law in North Carolina.
As a senior member of the Civil Rights Division, Karlan will work under soon-to-be Assistant Attorney General Debo Adegbile, who President Obama recently nominated as the nation’s top civil rights attorney. Like Karlan, Adegbile is himself a leading expert on voting rights law – indeed, he twice appeared before the Supreme Court to try to save the Voting Rights Act from the Court’s conservative majority.
As long as there are mega fundy preachers like this one in front of microphones – I will NEVER stop standing up to these same Fundies and telling them how I don’t NEED their twisted version of American history and their version of how a loving God hates everyone except all the ‘right’ people.
I wonder…….are the ‘right’ people who use their cloak of self-righteousness and who live a secret sex life – going to help their version of God on Judgment Day throw people in Hell…
Or will these self-righteous pious folks be like those in the crowd ready to stone that woman when Jesus told them that THEY were without sin themselves
