  1. President Obama was ready to go for $4 trillion in deficit reduction, but Boehner scaled it back to $2 trillion because it is the Republ I can Party against America.

Really? I didn’t see that in the news. What’s the source for that?

  3. When the Republ I cans in Congress agree to take a cut in pay and raise the taxes on at least the top 2%, then they have the right to bargain. Until then, they’ve brought absolutely nothing to the table except childish prattle.

Why limit pay cuts to Repub congress critters? I am all for cutting their pay and doing away with a lot of their perks.

  4. The GOP can’t fool anyone but the foolish by saying they are for reducing the deficit while running away from a deal to reduce twice what they’re willing to do!

All the while, the GOP haven’t introduced a single jobs bill! Not a single one!

    Boehner, where are the jobs?

Somewhere I think I heard that Reagan actually made FDR style “work for the gov’t” programs illegal.

Anybody else feel like they just gotta get outta THE HOUSE?

Feel like I’m living in a cave . . . maybe we should have one of those meet-ups like Steven used to have?

    • Yes! Let’s do, you know everyone is always welcome here, and the A/C works fine.

How about outside at The Anchor Bar . . . not so noisy as inside the bar . . .

      • Part of the reasons we’re holed up in our houses is that it’s so miserable outside our houses, but I’m game. How about 11 p.m. or so? 😉 At least after the sun has gone done.

FreeB asks, “Did God tell Obama to get involved in Libya? Did God tell Obama to continue the 2 wars that he inherited?”

    Good point.

You’ll find that I don’t agree with Obama on too much these days, especially when he acts like a freaking RepubliCON.

  8. The Climate Zombie Caucus Of The 112th Congress

Of the freshmen Republicans — marked in boldface below — 38 of 87 in the House and 11 of 13 in the Senate have publicly questioned the science. Eighty of the freshmen signed the Koch Industries/Americans For Prosperity “No Climate Tax” pledge, and 46 freshmen signed the FreedomWorks-Tea Party Contract From America, which rejects cap and trade. Of the 100 freshmen, 94 have either explicitly denied global warming, signed the Koch pledge, or signed the FreedomWorks pledge. There are no freshmen Republicans, in the House or Senate, who publicly accept the scientific consensus that greenhouse pollution is an immediate threat.

I went to Pompeo’s town hall awhile back.

Dude claimed that the earth is too big for humans to affect . . . drought, flooding, arctic ice melt, record heat waves.

Yup, nothing to see here . . .
