  1. Mass. may join effort to bypass Electoral College

The state Legislature is poised to give final approval this week to a new law intended to bypass the Electoral College system and ensure that the winner of the presidential election is determined by the national popular vote.

Far as I can see, this is a bad deal. A better deal, if one is needed, is proportional allocation. One of the problems with what is being proposed in Mass. comes from the article

“They also point to the disturbing scenario that Candidate X wins nationally, but Candidate Y has won in Massachusetts. In that case, all of the state’s 12 electoral votes would go to Candidate X, the candidate who was not supported by Massachusetts voters.”

      Talk about voter nullification.

  2. Good morning! I was up and about early this morning. It’s pleasant outside — not something that can be said truthfully a bit later in the day. 😉

Long day in the city today for me. I’ll catch up with you tonight. Stay cool!

  3. In case you forgot how to have a really fun summer day, here’s a reminder. 🙂

I just took Zogby’s latest survey and was LMAO.

If the elections were held today, who would I vote for, Barack Obama or George W. Bush?

    Barack Obama or Clint Eastwood?

    Barack Obama and Tom Seleck?

And another I forgot because I was laughing so hard.

LOL anymore whenever there is the mention of a video, I go to youtube to see if I can find it.
The whole Rev. Wright thing was cleared up for me when I was able to watch the entire video that the damaging parts was taken out of context from.

So with the latest uproar about the FDA employee and her telling a NAACP meeting of how she did not fully help a White farmer because he was white. But the claim is that it was a part of her speech that was taken out of context. A speech where she outlined how she learned that problems were not based on color of skin. They effect both White and Black people.

So I just went to youtube to see if I could find the entire video?

OMG with the key search word of “FDA” a whole bunch of videos came up all about conspiracies where the FDA is poisoning and taking to use mind control on the American people!!!!!

Gone are the days when you have to go to the local street corner to find a lunatic ranting about the end of the world.

This video was put out by Andrew Breitbart – and we all remember him, don’t we?

Remember James OKeefe dressed up like a pimp with his hooker girlfriend trying to get ACORN to bend the rules and help them?

Well, it seems that little video escapade has backfired on the pimp and his lady. Even though ACORN lost their funding, these two little pit bulls for Andrew Breibart are being sued because it seems it is illegal to tape record another person without their knowledge – which is what it appears they did in their little sting performance. So they are on the hook for $75,000 each.

But more than that – the ACORN guy they were talking to called the cops when these two left his office and reported that they were attempting to get help to smuggle in girls for the sex trade.

This was all revealed on Rachel Maddow show a couple weeks back.

And let’s not forget – James OKeefe and his buddies were also the ones that barged into Sen. Landrieu’s office (Louisiana) and tried to bug the phones.

So, exactly why would we believe anything Andrew Breitbart would say?

Besides – the white farmer and his wife that this black USDA employee helped save their farm has come forward in support of her.

Tom Vilsack, Secretary of Agriculture, was the one that said it was his decision to fire Ms Sherrod. I think in light of all this twist of the story – that decision needs to be revisited.

LOL Well so much for that!
It said I failed every assessment for employment at Wal-Mart!

It happened before, the first time about nine years ago. I applied, I failed the assessment I had answered the questions which it is said there is no right or wrong answers honestly.

The second time I lied on almost every answer and passed!
