This is for all R. Crumb fans. Last evening, a friend presented me with “The Book of Genesis” in a graphic novel form (OK, I know that isn’t quite right, but sounds better than ‘comic book’) done by Mr. Crumb. It is wonderful.
I’m still working my way through it (it contains all 50 chapters of Genesis), and can say that it is extremely well done.

I understand that some groups are upset, but as far as I can tell, the work is a straight up setting of Genesis in a ‘graphic novel’ form. It took some 4 years to do, and relies on the KJV and a more modern translation for the text.
It has often been said and admired by writers of science fiction and fantasy.
That the Bible as a work of literary story telling is the greatest ever written.
Now the actual reading of and specify the old testaments is as for reading difficult.
But the stories told have the greatest imagination and human interest to it.
