  1. Democrat wins Fla. House race
GOP hoped to make special election a referendum on health care reform

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Democratic state Sen. Ted Deutch on Tuesday handily won the first U.S. House race since Congress passed President Barack Obama’s massive health care overhaul.

I doubt the Democratic Party will make this news sound like it’s earth shattering or world changing the way the Republicans did the win by Scott Brown. To me it says we still have a two party system and that isn’t in jeopardy because of the tea baggers hissy fits.

Well it is suppose to be today that I finally get some of my yard and driveway back!
After five different people said they would buy a couple of Junkers one my youngest son’s 80 F-100 step side and the other my wife’s 95 Cutlass.

True I sold them cheaper then the legend of I could have gotten by hauling to the crusher myself.
But even though many tell the legend no one knew exactly where these places are?

So it is a step toward becoming less known as the White trash that lives in the middle of the block!
Last night my brother-in-law and sister-in-law came by with their tiller and we are going to have a garden.

LOL the last time I used a shovel and one of those hand tillers to create the garden years ago.
Yeah it was years since we had a garden for the very reason!

I fixed mom’s car yesterday and was reminded why I am not a auto mechanic, both of my hands are cut up.
Damn foreign made car it is like they took everything and just balled it up and poke it in the engine compartment. No wonder I am a fan of Ford trucks, I can about climb into the engine compartment to take a nap.

Anyway not planning much for the day, have to wait till cars are hauled off.

  3. A Militia Reboots

“After an FBI raid of the Hutaree, Michigan’s militias are trying to get back to normal. Fara Warner on one group’s “open carry” picnic—and the “Militia Babes” calendar they use to help raise funds.”

    ———————————-
I do understand that scantily-clad women (and men!) have always appeared on calendars, I know sex sells and their goal is raising money. It just makes me feel so degraded, so disrespected.

    • Guess scantily-clad women caressing guns is really a turn on, huh?

      • WSClark

I’m excited just reading about it! Nothing quite like a Bombshell McGhee caressing a gun to get a red blooded American boy excited.

        sarcasm/

      • tosmarttobegop

It is sick to say the least that many men who looks at the pictures will notice the guns more then the women!

    • tosmarttobegop

Somehow the concept of “Chicks with guns” every time I hear the term makes me think it is a video about transgenders in a sex tape!

Often such things makes me repeat Bull Shannon’s saying from “Night Court”.
“Will I understand this when I grow up?”.

I had not heard about the calendar before but should not be surprised.
I am sure a good deal of Palin’s support is because of her being female and nice looking.
They actually do not realize she is talking at the time they see her.

LOL more of the middle school aged mentality.

You can Google phone numbers, too. Easier than using a reverse 411 and often nets info on scam calls.

Yes, Fno, that really caught my eye, too

That Florida race was a pretty stronghold for Democrats in the first place, but it is a good sign that the Tea Party has not made such great strides into the Medicare Set that an assumed Democratic seat in Florida did not change over.

But I think the Scott Brown race in Massachusetts was more like a vote against the Democrat – wasn’t it? As I remember, she was not exactly a ball of fire and kinda just ‘expected’ to win?

But I’m glad to see where the Democrat won.

I think the Tea Party’s tea is beginning to go rancid. They can only muster 25% of the population’s support and they seem to be on the downside of a very steep mountain.

That’s what they get for being hijacked by Fox News, Dick Armey and the Koch Klan.

    • And having nothing to be FOR. I don’t think being against is very sustainable. They seem grumpy and negative — not appealing to me!

      • indypendent

I remember the Republicans denouncing Democrats for only being ‘against’ George W. Bush.

So what makes it okay for them to be only ‘against’ Obama.

I keep forgetting… they can do it but others cannot.

Maybe I need to write that down on my palm. What do you think – you betcha!

  7. David B

I am pretty certain to attend the Tea Party tomorrow.

I’ll take sign making stuff for quick response.

    • indypendent

I read online at the Wichita Eagle that the Coffee Party plans to have a rally directly across from the Tea Party.

In fact, the Tea Party’s leader invited the Coffee Party’s leader to come speak on their stage because they are so ‘independent’ you know.

But when reading through their speakers list – you cannot help but see the big elephant in the room.

    • indypendent

Now don’t go and get all ‘mavericky’ on us there David – LOL

  8. indypendent

As long as I am writing stuff on my palm, maybe I need to demand some bendable straws for my bottled water?

  9. David, take pics and share!

Yep, out-stupid them at every turn. If they make up a wallop of a lie, out-lie them.

You are one of the Outliers. (I highly recommend that book if you haven’t read it!)

  10. You’re talking about Malcom Gladwell’s Outliers, I am assuming. Definitely a good book.

Stupid Marxist Nazi Socialists are always taking our money.

(Thought I’d save all the lurking Rs the trouble of saying it.)

      • Weeeeelllllll, just because they didn’t take all our money in 2009, doesn’t mean they won’t take it starting this year!!!!!! They just passed a damn new entitlement !!!!!!

Of course, those statistics are skewed anyway!

        /sarcasm

  12. tosmarttobegop

I got an e-mail from one of the Kansas Christian groups tell where to find Tea parties in Kansas.
And saying that everyone should attend and support them.

I am kind of shocked I still on their mailing list since I often send them e-mails back straightening their talking points out.

    • I doubt they read them, and if they do they’re probably convinced they are right and you are wrong.

18% of Americans — most of them older. I wouldn’t want to count on that demographic as my support if I were a politician.

      • tosmarttobegop

I doubt so too, I have pointed out how that getting involved based on your faith is to put that faith as second to they Political actions. It turns their faith into Politics and belittles that beliefs.
