The Abortion War

This article is rather long but is worth the time.  I never knew Krispy Kreme Doughnuts (according to one anti-abortion group) had anything to do with abortion – did you?

Best part of the entire essay.

    “Let us disagree, but peacefully.”

The section about the US health care system contributing to the abortion war effects were interesting to me.

I never really thought about it before, but I can see where the abortion clinics that we have here in the US would be more vulnerable to attacks. They are separate practices and everyone knows what services they provide.

I also remember the days before Roe v Wade.

Abortions were performed in the hospitals – but they were simply called D & C’s at that time. The general public never knew what was going on and probably never gave it a second thought or really cared about it.

But I remember when Roe v Wade decision came down. I was involved in the Fundamental Baptist Church at that time. The anti-abortion movement was not even started yet but I remember all the fiery sermons the preacher gave about how our country’s soul was going to Hell if we allowed such acts to be done to the unborn.

I remember thinking to myself – were the unborn an unimportant issue before Roe v Wade?

Where was the moral outrage before Roe v Wade?

Where was the moral outrage against the men that impregnated these women? I was only hearing about how awful these women were and the doctors that would perform abortions.

I listened and I witnessed how the anti-abortion movement got started. I also remember how the preacher got a big basket of money that night to fight the evil that has come to America.

And the anti-abortion groups have been collecting alot of money since then – haven’t they?

Would winning the abortion war be killing the golden goose?

    I wonder…

Has anyone been by Spirit one church lately?

This is to the best of my memory:

50,000,000.00 deaths of the innocent unborn in America.
The blood is on the hands of all Christians.

My first thought was did the Christians perform the Abortions?

Did they father the unwanted child?

    Were all the mothers Christians?

I think I posted that a couple of days ago.

They’re trying to rally the troops. Guilt, and all that. Self-persecution?

Oh yeah that is part of how these groups get people to act through guilt and then wrapping it in the cloak of God to give it a higher calling. I seldom get to the West side and even less to Harry passed Washington.

But make a point to read their sign and shake my head.
