bush the lesser kept America safe??

Anwar al-Awlaki, one of the foremost preachers of radical Islam, who influenced at least three of the 9/11 hijackers, the Fort Hood shooter, and Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab (the underwear bomber), was once in U.S. custody, but was released, according to newly released documents.

“America’s Osama bin Laden,” has been a longtime FBI target and was detained at New York’s JFK Airport in 2002 on a felony arrest warrant but quickly released to Saudi custody, which insiders believe is a result of his high-level connections in the Saudi Arabian embassy.

Al-Awlaki has long since fled to Yemen where he continues to train new “martyrs.”

  1. Zack!

That picture is classic. And we (not me, but “we”) were all up in arms about Obama bowing to a couple of other dudes? This is one glass of wine away from an awkward breakfast in bed…

What I have always wondered about is the true relationship of Bush and Cheney with the Saudis.

While Cheney is now demonizing Obama for wanting to close down Gitmo, Cheney and Bush released Gitmos detainees to Saudi Arabia for some rehab which included art therapy???

And exactly how many of these detainees have returned to their old haunts in alQueda?

From what Sen Dianne Feinstein said this morning – there are about 74 suspected and 22 confirmed cases.

And Cheney has the guts to go on national television to gripe about Obama.

    Oh, really?

And let’s not forget that hasty plane trip out of the country shortly after 9/11 for all of the Bin laden family members and other Saudi ‘elite’.

That has always puzzled me too….but, alas, I don’t hear any of the Obama Haters/Bush Lovers questioning that.

And let’s not forget about the Iraq War.

Bush told us that the war would be paid for by the sale of the Iraqi oil.

Funny thing, those oil rights were recently sold and guess who was the big winner – China and Russia.

And as for our paying to bomb Iraq and then to rebuild – and yes, we are providing health care to Iraqis – isn’t it just dandy that the Iraqi Prime Minister is so cozy with the Iran president. I’ve seen several pictures of those two and they look like they are walking arm in arm and kissy-face also.

And we are a nation on the verge of bankruptcy and have what to show for it? A bunch of sour grape losers in the form of Republicans who would rather see our enemies win than to admit that Obama may have some good ideas and be willing to work with Obama rather than stomping their little feet and “just say NO”.

In late 2004, just before the re-election of George W. Bush, a tape of Osama Bin Laden was released and do you remember what he said?

Their plan was to drain the US of our money and resources and to basically break us economically while they continue to wage their war against us.

And, isn’t that exactly what has happened since 2004?

Debtor nations NEVER are in the position to be the great leaders. Is our country doomed to become a third world country or can we take back our country and “Just Say NO” to any and all politicians who do nothng but benefit from this senseless war?
