New Meaning for the term “Dumb Cracker”

joe-wilson[1]The Honorable Joe Wilson yelled out “You lie!” when POTUS Barack Obama was assuring the audience that his health care reform would not pay for the health care of illegal aliens.

I was moved to write the congressman an email.  It is as foll0ws:

Congratulations, you did a great job of completely discrediting yourself and your state by yelling “You Lie!” to the President of the United States when he was giving his speech tonight.

You owe him an apology.  I doubt if you are man enough to give him one, but none-the-less you owe him one and one to the people of South Carolina.

You have managed in one night to give a whole new meaning to the term “Dumb Cracker”.  Good Job.

Signed Mortimer S. Snerd.  My email address was AshamedinSC@yahoo.com

Rep. Wilson’s site loads real slowly, so I suspect that means he is getting a lot of traffic tonight.  If you want to share some of your compliments with the congressman, his email page is http://www.house.gov/formwilson/IMA/issue.htm .

  1. Within 90 minutes after, he issued a statement which said in part:

“I let my emotions get the best of me”

“My comments were inappropriate and regrettable. I extend sincere apologies to the President for this lack of civility”

  2. G-stir

I wonder if this clown will be censured in the Congress. Truly a class act!

With in a few hours over fifty thousand dollars in campaign fund were sent in…. For his opponent!

  4. From Dana Milbank:

“Wilson was only the most flagrant. There was booing from House Republicans when the president caricatured a conservative argument by saying they would ‘leave individuals to buy health insurance on their own.’ They hissed when he protested their ‘scare tactics.’ They grumbled as they do in Britain’s House of Commons when Obama spoke of the ‘blizzard of charges and countercharges.'”

Ok even though it is spelled out that non citizens SHALL NOT be covered under the health care bill.

Wilson bases he claim on that two GOP amendments that call for there be proof that a person is not illegal was defended by a party vote.

    Forrest Gump saying” “.

Remember, this guy is from South Carolina – enough said.

What is it about white guys from South Carolina – are they all just nuts? This guy looks like a cookie cutter of Mark Sanford.

Perhaps this guy belongs to the C Street Gang and we shall be hearing his name real soon in the news…???

  7. More from the Milbank article and my question.

“But while the majority of both parties’ lawmakers behaved as adults, the insolence by House Republicans stole the show. There was derisive laughter on that side of the chamber when Obama noted that ‘there remain some significant details to be ironed out.’ They applauded as he spoke of ‘all the misinformation that’s been spread over the past few months.’ They laughed again when he said that ‘many Americans have grown nervous about reform.'”

Doesn’t it say a lot about a party whose members view their ignorant and deceptive behavior as smart or cute in some way? Amazingly pathetic is my view. The House GOPers are really not significantly different from the dumb asses on the BTSNBN. Amazing, I say.

It was like watching junior high kids in the locker room.

Now doesn’t that make you feel better knowing there is that kind of people in the Congress?

  8. On the BTSNBN one supposedly recovering alcoholic is saying it was nothing more than a guy losing his temper momentarily. Wilson was just the most flagerant. NEVER has a president of the United States been exposed to this level of open hatred and booed and heckled when giving a speech to congress. It was totally disgraceful and every one of those bastards who took part should be deeply ashamed of themselves. I don’t really have any feelings about this as you can tell… 🙂

How can we expect these Republicans that displayed themselves to be absolute assholes to feel any shame?

For one to feel shame, one has to feel they did wrong – and we all know, Conservative Republicans never do anything wrong

Even when they are caught red-handed with their pants down and unzipped with their mistress in the same room.

Or when a certain Louisiana Senator gets caught in a prostitution scandal and admitted to wearing diapers in the Senate – and yet these Conservative Republicans still think they never do anything wrong.

After all – THEIR God forgives them for their sins – we heathens, on the other hand, that would never dream of doing any of these things in our lifetime are all doomed to go to Hell.

With logic like that – do we really expect anything different from these buffoons?

Arrogance does run deep in the Republicans.

Also, Iggy, on the MSNBC coverage this morning, Joe Wilson stated that he was contacted by his party’s leadership and they requested he call the White House and apologize.

Mr. Wilson did not apologize for himself – he only did it to save face with his party’s leadership.

They were also talking about how Joe Wilson is facing troubles back home in his district. It seems this guy has been an asshole to alot of people – so why are we surprised?

Joe Wilson is not that well liked by his own party members – maybe he will team up with Sanford, Perry and Palin and all secede from the country –

        We can dream, can’t we?

BTW – $200,000 in donations have poured into the Democrats since Wilson’s display of abhorrent behavior.

  9. “One of President Obama’s goals in his speech Wednesday night – unacknowledged, perhaps, but central – must have been to make the intransigient Republican opposition to health-care reform look rude, petty, disingenuous, counterproductive and fundamentally dishonest. My verdict: Mission accomplished, thanks to lots of Republican help.”

The biggest mistake I think Republicans make is they see Obama as a weak person because he keeps extending his hand out for bipartisanship. Conservative Republicans, especially, are out for blood and consider compromise a dirty word.

Republicans keep calling him weak on foreign issues but who was it that got those Somali pirates killed – and have we heard about a problem with pirates lately?

Obama has been criticized for keeping and sending more troops in Afghanistan – but I think he is right for having us there. That is where all this terrorist crap started – and I think Obama has the intelligence to know when to strike to cause the most damage. I just hope and pray this war will not go the way of previous wars – I am still holding my trust in Obama that he knows what he is doing.

Republicans are just bullies on the playground and to make bullies stop – they need to be punched back but in a way that they will stop their bullying – hit them where they hurt the most. Remember the story of David and Goliath? The one with the most muscles does not always win.

Obama is playing chess while Republicans are playing checkers!

I especially like the poster wanting the return of the country doctor.

I wonder, does this person realize that most country doctors were paid in hens, eggs, produce, pigs and cows? Rarely did they get paid in money. And these doctors made – dare I say it – house calls!

I wonder how many doctors in today’s society would be willing to work under those coniditions?

I just found Joe Wilson’s website and there is a message that due to high volume, the website is temporarily shut down.

Do you think he’s getting slammed by the country or do you think he’s just hiding?

  12. Clicked on Annie’s link. I have never read over at Freeperville much. This is from their about page:

As a conservative site, Free Republic is pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun, pro-limited government, pro-private property rights, pro-limited taxes, pro-capitalism, pro-national defense, pro-freedom, and-pro America. We oppose all forms of liberalism, socialism, fascism, pacifism, totalitarianism, anarchism, government enforced atheism, abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, racism, wacko environmentalism, judicial activism, etc. We also oppose the United Nations or any other world government body that may attempt to impose its will or rule over our sovereign nation and sovereign people. We believe in defending our borders, our constitution and our national sovereignty.

I also visited the Frepper’s Memorial page. It sure looks to me that Freepers die pretty young. I wonder if that is the hidden cost of being wrong all the time about everything?
