New Earth Creationists are Linking to Our Place

Why won’t they leave us alone?  Is there a sign on our foreheads?

Check out this dude:

  1. They scurried away quickly to places where they aren’t subjected to knowledge.

What are the numbers of these adults who can ignore facts and knowledge so well? If they are so into their dogma and can ignore science so easily, what else can they be led to believe without adequate grounds?

  2. Audio slideshow: Darwin’s Endless Forms

The scientific legacy of Charles Darwin is well documented, but the impact he had on the 19th Century art world is less well known.

As part of celebrations marking the 200th anniversary of his birth, the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge is hosting an exhibition which reveals art’s debt to Darwin. Take a guided tour with the curators Diana Donald and Jane Munro.

  3. Ig, I saw that too.
I wonder if that site is good friends with TfK
    (Thoughts from Kansas)

Which reminds me of an old TBTSNBN story.
On one thread where the wingnuts were hot n’ heavy after us realists, there was one fellow who talked in circles and was highly regarded by the wingnut church crowd from Wichita. He and they ‘liked’ me, of course. Kept bothering me to go to this dude’s website for re-education into their reality.
When I’d had enough, a week or so of this, I went to Josh @ TfK, asked him for some help. He recognized the winger, a really prolific and esteemed youngearther.
As soon as Josh showed up there and called his bluff, HE DISSAPEARED.
    NUFF SAID!

  4. In fact, if you run this guy’s site by Josh Rosenau, I’d bet a buck-two-ninety-eight he’s already named and shamed them to no end. THAT IS HIS JOB.

As far as gun and god blogs linking here….GREAT!

They may as well hear my moderate views on both subjects.
After all, I am right. Ask me.

    • I know there are moderate voices on guns and gods and most any other topic. But have you noticed those who know the least know it the loudest? We’ve got the peace-loving Christians who will kill anyone who disagrees with them running amok, but then if you look at history you’ll find Christians have been one of the meanest and largest street gangs. Haven’t most wars been fought in the name of Christianity?

      • For the most part, the ‘in the name of God’ meme is done after the fact.
Nobody really believes there was a spiritual concensus that God approves.

        And it’s a world phenomenom.
        Not just christians.

      • Yes, of course you’re right about all religions being the way to get people riled up enough to kill other humans. Protecting that which is most precious and should be most peaceful becomes a way to drum up hate.

Sorry, I’m sounding hateful. I’ll stop. My lack of tolerance is showing when really what I’m feeling is fear about what is happening in our world and I don’t see any solutions. I’m depressed, sad, afraid. Don’t we fear what we don’t understand?

  5. Iggy, the sign on your head says;
    Reasonable and sensible man.
    Believes in emperical evidence.
HIS JESUS says the earth is very, very old.

But have you noticed those who know the least know it the loudest?

OMG that is great! I just love that and it is so fitting!

From what I read of the link to dancingwithgenesis: do these people really believe that our current health care rewards those who live healthy lifestyles? Since when? Has anyone’s health insurance premium ever gone down?

And that bit about the government being in the healthcare business for a profit. That really slays me. Do these people not realize that Medicare is one of the largest health care plans and that most health care providers actually depend on Medicare to keep their business in the black cashflow (no matter how high the pitch of screeching to the contrary). Medicare is not a money-maker for the government and I don’t think it was ever intended to be – was it? Medicare may pay lower (but don’t all insurance companies negotiate for the lowest price?) but they do pay timely – thus, good cash flow. Insurance payments may take up to 2-3 months.

My husband and I have worked the nursing home business for 30+ years and Medicare and Medicaid are the two biggest revenue resources.

I currently work for a closed-door long term pharmacy. Let me tell you, there are very few private pay patients to cover their pharmacy bills.

As for the living will comment – I also know a thing or two about that issue from working with the long-term care medical records through my current job. There are alot more Full Code patients than DNR (do not resuscitate).

I am not trying to say all elderly patients need to be DNR. But if you think that being Full Code and using any artificial means of keeping a person alive if something happens is cheap, then you are sadly mistaken. The bulk of our Medicare dollars are being spent in the last few months of a person’s life. And because the elderly do have Medicare, they are seen by doctors more frequent and they are living longer – usually on those expensive medications that are being marketed on the television.

We need to decide if our country is for all people to be able to have access to affordable health care or are we content to keep going in the vicious cycle we have now where only the lucky ones get health insurance of their own, Medicare or Medicaid?

  8. My question has always been, ‘why do these people think it is their obligation to visit places that probably disagree with them’? Is there an honor in being ridiculed?

I don’t get it. I am glad about that, though.

    • lilacluvr

In the case of Social Conservatives – they truly believe they are superior to everyone else because, after all, they have God on their side.

That, and I think they actually enjoy being ridiculed because then they are being victimized because of their belief in God. I know, that doesn’t make any common sense to us but in their narrow view of the world – somehow it makes sense???

Ahhahahahhahahahaha, that dudes got NO COMMENTS, none zip nada….ahahhahahhahah ain’t that a bitch!

    • LOON, my new twitter buddy!
      Yeah, no comments.
Sometimes I find really worthy blogs like that, I’ll comment for awhile, try to get some discussions going and suggest that if they would AT THE VERY LEAST come out of their blog and comment on our Public Square they would see an instant swarm of comments…..NO RESPONSE.

That’s the way he wants it?
That’s the way he gets it.
There’s some bloggers ya’ just cain’t reach.

  10. I think it comes from the ‘tags’ Iggy. And the “Possibly related posts (automatically generated)” that WordPress does. Two different sides of an issue can use the same tag, the person looking for info or simply interested in a certain topic could easily end up on a blog with positions different than their own. I’ve done it! Most often I didn’t post and after reading a little decided whether I wanted to stay longer or not, but my visit would still show up in their stats.

  11. jammer5

I noticed no comments on any of his posts. He’s looking for some. Non-issue. Let it bleed.

  12. Thanks, fnord. People who seek out rejection concern me. Your rationale makes more sense. But, on the other hand, does that mean I have to give up my Jerry Seinfield type posts in the future – “what’s up with . . .”?

With God On Our Side – Bob Dylan

    (Note the last verse, please.)

Oh my name it is nothin’
    My age it means less
    The country I come from
    Is called the Midwest
I’s taught and brought up there
    The laws to abide
And that land that I live in
    Has God on its side.

Oh the history books tell it
    They tell it so well
    The cavalries charged
    The Indians fell
    The cavalries charged
    The Indians died
    Oh the country was young
    With God on its side.

    Oh the Spanish-American
    War had its day
    And the Civil War too
    Was soon laid away
And the names of the heroes
    I’s made to memorize
    With guns in their hands
    And God on their side.

Oh the First World War, boys
    It closed out its fate
    The reason for fighting
    I never got straight
But I learned to accept it
    Accept it with pride
For you don’t count the dead
    When God’s on your side.

    When the Second World War
    Came to an end
    We forgave the Germans
    And we were friends
    Though they murdered six million
    In the ovens they fried
    The Germans now too
    Have God on their side.

    I’ve learned to hate Russians
    All through my whole life
    If another war starts
    It’s them we must fight
To hate them and fear them
    To run and to hide
    And accept it all bravely
    With God on my side.

    But now we got weapons
    Of the chemical dust
If fire them we’re forced to
    Then fire them we must
    One push of the button
And a shot the world wide
    And you never ask questions
    When God’s on your side.

    In a many dark hour
    I’ve been thinkin’ about this
    That Jesus Christ
    Was betrayed by a kiss
But I can’t think for you
    You’ll have to decide
    Whether Judas Iscariot
    Had God on his side.

    So now as I’m leavin’
    I’m weary as Hell
    The confusion I’m feelin’
    Ain’t no tongue can tell
    The words fill my head
    And fall to the floor
    If God’s on our side
    He’ll stop the next war.

      Aw, hell, why not:
Look ahead as we pass, try and focus on it
I won’t be fooled by a cheap cinematic trick
It must have been just a cardboard cut out of a man
Top-forty cast off from a record stand

Walkin’ in L.A., nobody walks in L.A.
      Walkin’ in L.A.
Walkin’ in L.A., nobody walks in L.A.

      I don’t know could’ve been a lame jogger maybe
Or someone just about to do the freeway strangler baby
Shopping cart pusher or maybe someone groovie
One thing’s for sure, he isn’t starring in the movies.
      ‘Cause he’s walkin’ in L.A.
Walkin’ in L.A., nobody walks in L.A.
      Walkin’ in L.A.
Walkin’ in L.A., only a nobody walks in L.A.

      Walkin’ walkin’ walkin’ walkin’ walkin’
Nobody’s walkin’ walkin’ walkin’ walkin’ walkin’
Nobody’s walkin’ walkin’ walkin’ walkin’ walkin’
Nobody’s walkin’ walkin’ walkin’ walkin’ walkin’

You won’t see a cop walkin’ on the beat
Nobody’s walkin’ walkin’ walkin’ walkin’ walkin’

You only see ’em drivin’ cars out on the street
Nobody’s walkin’ walkin’ walkin’ walkin’ walkin’

You won’t see a kid walkin’ home from school
Nobody’s walkin’ walkin’ walkin’ walkin’ walkin’

Their mothers pick ’em up in a car pool
      Nobody’s walkin’ walkin’ walkin’ walkin’

      Walkin’ in L.A.
Walkin’ in L.A., nobody walks in L.A.
      Walkin’ in L.A.
Walkin’ in L.A., nobody walks in L.A.

Could it be that the smog’s playing tricks on my eyes
or is it a rollerskater in some kind of headphone disguise
Maybe somebody who just ran out of gas,
Making his way back to the pumps the best way he can.

      Walkin’ in L.A.
Walkin’ in L.A., nobody walks in L.A.
      Walkin’ in L.A.

      Walkin’ in L.A.
Walkin’ in L.A., only a nobody walks in L.A.

Nobody’s walkin’ walkin’ walkin’ walkin’ walkin’

Nobody’s walkin’ walkin’ walkin’ walkin’ walkin’

What up with the dude’s site?

Went and tried to post a few fireballs, but “comments are now closed.” Does he ever allow them?

I’ve been diligently reading my bible over the past few years, and I have a few questions for guys like this.
