TRADITIONS of FAITH

PRAYERBelieve nothing on the faith of traditions, even though they have been held in honor
for many generations and in diverse places.
Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it.
Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past.
Do not believe what you yourself have imagined,
persuading yourself that a God inspires you.
Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests.
After examination, believe what you yourself have tested
and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.

  1. Our blogroll partner Point of View has had some intersting discussions on religion lately. Prompted me to post some more of this boring buddha crap.
No red meat here, nothing to argue about.

  2. Sekan, when I was working on the ‘broken people’ post (that one took me an awful long time because I went waaay deep and then used a tiny portion) I decided I may believe as a Buddhist. I might not be an Agnostic. This is a big deal to me, and I think I might have found a path.
