I have sad news. The topless coffee shop/donut shop in Vassalboro, ME about which I posted somewhere at an earlier time was destroyed by fire last night. Cause of fire is under investigation by the Maine fire marshal.

Wonder if the owner’s recent application to expand his business and include a strip club there had anything to do with the fire?

Hey 617, I’m glad to hear you are doing so well, even if it isnt fast enough to suit you.

I hope you are enjoying OLOL as much as I did.

    Sarcasm off. 🙂

Keep up the good work. You know we love you.

  3. Surely your thoughts that the planned expansion could have anything to do with the fire is simply a conspiracy theory! 😉

It all made my head hurt yesterday evening, the icing on the cake was PETA and the billboards.
It is becoming the cause-da-day! Long ago I read the surest sign of insane is when the person thinks they are the only sane person in the world. Last night I was swearing I would stay away from the world today.
I was so alienated and had enough of thinking that I did the only logical thing. I ate at Long John Silvers and walked around a super center Wal-Mart! Surrounded myself with people who’s biggest concern and thought is who the winner of the next survivor will be? How gross it was for Patti to eat a dead spider!
I was getting away from others who think and are awake OK this is really starting to sound a little insane.

While eating my wife and I had a discussion on the topic and how she saw my part in it.
She said of me that I am intelligent but it is maddening when it seem I think I am the only one who is right and everyone else’s opinion is wrong. But for me often its like the issue is slitting the throat of a Virgin to bring the rain. I am against it while so many seem in favor of it. Who is right and who is wrong in their opinion?

If someone has thought about the subject and weighted the evidence than came to a different opinion I can respect that. But my disagreement is more with those that have simply “gotten” their opinion from some goofy source or base it on a two second sound bite and that was the only thought they gave.
I see far to many important issues being decided based on the mindless and unthinking solution.

But her comment got me thinking, it remained me of dad’s point from when I was in Jr. high.
“If one person said you stink it could be that they just do not like you. If the entire class said you stink then it might be time to take a bath!”.
Dad often expressed his opinion in a parable form to make it easier for me to understand.
What he was talking about was if one person is disagreeing with you that they could just be wrong.
But if the majority see it different from you than consider that it might be you who is wrong.
(LOL just in case when he said it I smelled my armpits)

I often do seem to come off even to me as being a authority on things, I am not and only express what I have seen from life. The down side of thinking too much after all I did ponder for three days why does a dog hike it’s leg on something to pee. After noticing my female dog was doing it rather then squatting in the pen. She was always on a power trip even humping the male dogs, I choose not to repeat what my dad said about that when I told him.

I am simply expressing my opinion as I see the truth and facts not as a all knowing sage.

One day I got a picture mail from my oldest who is in Washington state, it was of a waitress at a coffee shop there. She was “top-less” in a sense as the only thing on her chest was four strips of electrical tape.
I thought about for a couple of days as he does not send me such things, finally I send a text about it.
His response was “OMG I sent that to you!”.

Latest; fire at referenced shop was arson. Building was not insured, and in light of the business increase, the owner becomes less of a suspect.

  7. When blog hopping today I found this video posted at Cats r Flyfishn’s blog — Pennsylvania for Change. This interview was done in Ireland and I never saw it before! What a doofus.
