Boy the gun nuts are sure sounding nutty! At least they finally have a definite target for their Obamahate. I plan to stay clear, mostly put them on ignore, and avoid their spittle. You don’t need to engage them since they’re so wound up they talk to themselves and it completes the nuttiness.
Mass murderers in America remain the best equipped in the world!
I believe we are lucky to have such a beautiful and classy First Lady.
The extra bonus is that Michelle Obama really lives those infamous ‘family values’ these Republicans are always spewing and that is but one reason these CONS hate our FLOTUS.
Hold the presses…Stop al this fighting over how to stop the gun violence. Rick Perry has shared his pearls of wisdom.
Just one thing about Rick’s strategy – it was reported the shooter in Newtown massacre attended the same Catholic Church that 8 of his young victims attended.
I assume – unless Catholics have changed in the past few years – this 20-yr-old young man did say his prayers……
Kinda blows Ricky’s theory out of the water – doesn’t it?”
As for the picture of Supreme Court Justice Scalia – it does not matter what was said in the past (unless, of course, you’re Obama and Democrats) – these Conservative Republican will simply ignore the facts.
For example – Ronald Reagan pushed gun control several times – as Govenor of California and as President. Reagan supported the Brady Bill.
But I also listened to some Conservative Republican actually try to imply that Reagan was senile in his later years when he expressed his support for gun control.
Even when faced with the truth of their God’s true beliefs – these CONS refuse to listen.
As I said previously – I truly believe Republican are incapable of feeling shame, embarrassment, compassion or empathy.
What is ironic is the fact Reagan was the one that let Jerry Falwell and his Rabid Religious into the inner circle of the GOP. These are the folks that so black and white – Us vs Them – mentality.
I don’t remember Reagan being that religoiusly black and white – but he sure did let the Krazies in to the Grand Old Party. There is no way to fight Krazies…..gotta kick them to the curb.
I’ve heard them argue often that Reagan was in full control of his mental faculties all during his presidency. So, now, when it’s convenient to argue he wasn’t they’ve changed their tunes? Hypocrites! Is it because they aren’t smart enough to recognize they’ve taken two conflicting positions that makes them think the rest of us don’t see through their lies?
(from the link): When you’ve lost the Koch brothers, you’ve lost the game.
Republicans intent on smashing through the debt ceiling in order to wring some spending concessions out of President Obama are finding themselves awfully lonely these days, but they’ve kept soldiering on. The latest ally to abandon them may be the toughest to ignore, though.
The president of the group Americans For Prosperity, bankrolled by Charles G. and David H. Koch of Koch Industries, this week said the group wants spending cuts, but warned Republicans that screwing around with the debt ceiling “makes the messaging more difficult,” the Financial Times writes. The AFP president also warned Republicans not to be seen as “hostage takers.”
The Koch Brothers especially know how important raising the debt ceiling is to our overall economy.
You see, even these two know that if America default on their bills – how could two billionaire oil boys continue to get their much-desired govenrment subsidies?
Make no mistake- every Wall Street/corpporate fat cat in America knows where they would be without all that taxpayer money……..those cats would be out in the alley – whether they truly belong?
I’m sure we’ve all heard about that NRA website ad that focusedf on the issue if the president’s kids are more important than your kids because they have armed protection at their school.
I am trying to find out if the school itself has armed guards – or is the NRA trying to compare the secret service protection to armed guards? Those are two entirely different issues – IMHO.
Either way – the NRA is either completely N-U-T-S ….or they have a very poor P.R. consultant. As this article states – first that app phone from the NRA which is targted for 4 yrs and above and NOW this tasteless website ad that picks on Obama’s kids?
Can you imagine the outrage from these NRA / Republicans if this website ad was about Sarah Palin’s kids?
Yeah – Republicans have devolved into some sick version of the Group of Gossipy Old Church Women who cackle 24/7. There is a very dangerous cancer in our society – and it seems to be concentrated on the Far Right.
These posted remarks attributed to S.Ct.Justice Antonin Scalia are the only thing I’ve ever heard or read from J.Scalia that makes and sense. Maybe its a mis-quote! I don’t know, but it does not sound like Scalia.
You’re right, Bob, it doesn’t sound like Scalia. I used ‘the’ google and found “…The Opinion of the Court, delivered by Justice Scalia, was joined by Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr. and by Justices Anthony M. Kennedy, Clarence Thomas and Samuel A. Alito Jr.”
So it was part of a SCOTUS decision Scalia agreed with (at least — even if he didn’t personally pen or say the words). This SCOTUS decision was claimed to be a “victory” for gun owners, so even tho those words sound good taken out of context the entire decision reaffirmed an interpretation favored by those who wanted to clarify that personally owning a gun was a right. The SCOTUS decision stated: “The Second Amendment protects an individual right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home.”

And those who profit off those guns are the fattest cats in the world!
Some pundit stated that Wyane LaPierre should go to the Sandy Hook School and talk to the kids and parents and then maybe he would change his mind.
Yeah, right. I truly beleive these Far Right Wing Republicans are incapable of feeling compassion, empathy, shame or embarrassment.
If they did have that capability – could they continue to spew the nonsense they are spewing?
I believe we are lucky to have such a beautiful and classy First Lady.

Another great lady celebrating a January 17th birthday — Betty White is 91 today.

Hey – even St. Ronnie himself said he could not remember anything about the Iran Contra deal ……I would go with hypocrits or outright liars..

The largest majority of republicans are old and desperate. Mother Nature will take care of them soon enough.
